Tatuaje Pudgy Wolf

After the success of the little monster serie sampler Pete Johnson decided to release another sampler with the six first Tatuaje Monster releases in a shorter size but with the original ring gauge, the Tatuaje Pudgy Monsters with an added new release Chucky and Tiff. I will be reviewing the complete sampler in the next few weeks.
Cigar number 4 is the pudgy wolf, a 5 ½ x52 torpedo with a feature that makes it stand out right away, the wrapper isn’t rolled all the way to the foot, but the foot isn’t shaggy. Like the regular and the little wolf the cigar has a brown with red band. The Ecuadorean Sumatra wrapper is pretty and shining, the cigar has a mild barnyard aroma. The cold draw is fine, I taste some white pepper.
I taste a burnt flavor with white pepper. The burnt flavor turns into charcoal, not very pleasant. After a third I get a strong lemon flavor.
The flavors in this cigar are very unusual, so unusual that I start to doubt my tastebuds. The lemon is getting weaker and gets accompanied by white pepper and wood, it’s much more pleasant now. Halfway it’s more wood with a citrus aftertaste.
The smoke is white, thick and plentiful. The draw is great, no complaints at all. The ash is salt and pepper colored but it’s not firm at all. The burn is ok, not completely straight but not bad either. The smoke time is about 90 minutes.
Would I buy this cigar again? I’ll smoke it once more to see if it’s not my tastebuds screwing with me.
