C.I. Legend red (Perdomo)

This cigar is made by Perdomo for Cigars International. The wrapper is nice, dark and has a few veins. The torpedo has quite a sharp point and feels well constructed. The predraw is good and gives me a pepper flavor. The cigar has a strong leather aroma combined with some black pepper.
I get a quite full bodied coffee flavor with a bit of pepper as an after bite. After half an inch I also get mild chocolate that slowly turns into dark bitter chocolate. This all happens behind the main flavor, which is still the coffee the cigar started with.
Halfway the feeling in my mouth gets dry and a wood flavor tries to find its way through the coffee. The chocolate is gone, but the pepper in the back of the throat still remains. At the 2/3rd point some nuts join the coffee.
I don’t get a lot of smoke, better said, the amount of smoke is poor and a bit brownish. The light colored ash is frayed but firm. The burn is good. After 2/3rd the smoke picks up a bit, but it’s too late. This is a medium bodied medium flavored cigar.
Would I buy this cigar again? I will stick to the Yellow by Don Pepin Garcia, I liked that better

C.I. legends yellow Don Pepin Garcia

This CI legend is blended by Don Pepin Garcia and it can’t go wrong there, I have loved every Don Pepin cigar I smoked so far. This 5.7 x 54 cigar has a nice aroma to it that reminds me of some Cuban cigars I smoked in the past, the wrapper is smooth, shiny and oily with some very small veins. The predraw is good and leaves a sweet flavor.
A full cedar flavor is what I get after lighting the cigar, combined with some herbs and after an inch some leather is introduced to the palate. The cedar disappears and the leather and herbs leave an amazing flavor on my palate. At the end some chocolate joins the herbs and the leather. For the grande finale the leather and herbs fade away and the cedar returns and pairs well with the chocolate.

This is a full flavored medium bodied cigar which produces a lot of smoke. The draw is good but unfortunately the burn is crooked, something I haven’t experienced in the other CI Legends yellow I smoked, so I just blame it on this specific cigar and not on the whole batch.
Would I buy this cigar again? Hell yeah, I already did
