February was a special month, the shortest month of the year but also because I turned it into a full month of F reviews, so there is a top 28.

Cumpay short

I bought this cigar at Huis Verloo in the beautiful city of Antwerp for 6 euro. The cigar is made by Maria Selva and it is a Nicaraguan puro made in Honduras. It measures 4×46.

The wrapper is quite pale. The logo is quite cheap and the text on the foot band is impossible to read as the letters are way too small. I see a few veins and I smell a mild straw smell. The construction feels good. The predraw is fine and I taste a dry and mild peppery tobacco.

I taste a full earthy flavour with a hint of coffee and some nuts on the background. After a quarter of an inch I get some wood with a mild tar flavour, which sounds worse than it is though. On the background I still taste some nuts.

After a third I taste herbs with the wood, and the cigar gets mild spicy. After two thirds I taste spicy wood with some herbs and spices. The flavors taste dry. Near the end I taste a pleasant hazelnut flavour.

This cigar lasted me for seventy-five minutes and the draw was great. The burn is good and I got a lot of white smoke. The as is coarse but firm. This cigar is medium to full flavoured and medium bodied.

Would I buy this cigar again? Nah, it’s not a bad cigar but not worth 6 euro
